You Might Have a Valentine’s Day Gift in Your Storage Unit
Valentine’s Day is about telling those who mean the most to you how much you love them, usually through a small token or gift. Have you checked your storage unit for items to re-purpose to make a gift for your special someone? Here are some ideas of items you can turn into great gifts for your Valentine.
- Are there empty jars or vases hiding in your storage unit? Decorating jars with ribbons or fabric and filling them with candies or other sweet treats makes for an adorable Valentine’s Day gift. Jars can also be painted with acrylic or chalk paint to use as a decorative flower vase.
- Check your unit for pictures frames you might have sitting around. You can simply add a picture to the frame as-is, or paint and decorate it. Instead of a photo, love phrases can also be put inside the frame. Frames are a simple yet personal gift, and a great way to give a loved one an updated photo of yourself, kids, or family.
- Fabric scraps, old clothes, and even curtains can all be reused to make a great gift. Fabric can be glued to paper to create personalized cards. If you are handy with sewing you can make decorative pillows, or a bouquet of fabric hearts or flowers. Handmade socks or scarves are also a great gift to make with old fabric.
Use your imagination to get creative and look around your storage unit for these items (and more) to create a fun personalized gift for the ones you love.
